Windows 10 game disc not installing...

I (very stupidly) upgraded to Windows 10 (from Windows 8.1) a few weeks ago, previous to the upgrade I could, and have installed games via discs, I am now not able to do so.

The games disc I'm trying to install is Garden Scapes. I'm using Dell Inspiron laptop. My OH is using a desk top, also with Windows 10, the Garden Scapes disc installed no problem on his desktop.

Can anyone advise me on a solution to my problem?

I have tried 'Control Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', 'Auto Play' and changed the bottom setting 'Software', 'Software and Games' to 'Install or run program from your media'

That makes no difference, I'm not techie and have no idea what else to try...

Ah, but I prefer the comfort of the sofa using laptop than the desktop computer chair, besides, OH is using desktop.
