    Default Feedback advice please.

A few weeks ago, I purchased a RUS item. Before an invoice for payment was sent, the seller messaged to say he no longer had the item. I asked him to cancel the order but he says he can't find how to do this. Meanwhile, I am being reminded to leave feedback for the purchased item. Is there a way for him to cancel?

How do I proceed? I didn't pay and the seller did let me know immediately.

So did I, but as I am not the seller there is no way I can check this.

You can leave Neutral feedback to get rid of the reminder. This does not count as a negative against the seller. Since you don't seem to be upset, don't say anything negative in the text.

Personally, I would be inclined to leave them a neg for listing an item that they do not possess - unless their sales history showed it was likely a freak occurrence or they could give me a darned good reason not to.

Not upset, just a little annoyed as I had to pay more on TOS. But, he did let me know immediately so no real harm done.

I think it was a one-off, but I am getting annoyed at the reminders to leave feedback. Can he cancel?

Yes, the seller can cancel a sale. I have done it at the buyer's request. No harm was done, I just relisted the item. So he has no excuse. I know those reminders get annoying, so leave appropriate feedback and don't feel guilty about it.

I have contacted the seller again and asked them to select the cancellation option in the drop down menu. If I don't hear, or if he still does nothing, I will leave a 'neutral'.

    Thank you for your advice.

I had a recent buyer who changed their mind within 30 minutes of purchase. I had to go through the eBid rigmarole to get my fees refunded and I left a neutral stating buyer had changed their mind.
