Uploading to Google

Hello. Am in desperate need of help as I am not computer literate. I want to open a new shop on ebid selling books - mostly antequarian, some just fairly ordinary, some quite rare. I would like to upload the 'rarer' books to Google, how do I do this? and please, no computer jargon, as I have already stated, as an older person, I am not very computer literate. Would appreciate any help, regards, Babs.

Am sure that you need to enter EXEMPT in each listing before it is uploaded to Google - can't check because the guide from Astral (who helped everyone new to eBid, is no longer available). Would suggest that you Search on the Forum under 'Google' to see past threads.

Yes pastime is right. If a book is too old to have an ISBN number to enter then you need to put the word 'EXEMPT' in the bar code box when your are doing the listing and also have a 'buy it now' price alongside any bid price to get the listing onto Google Shopping.

Google Shopping Top tips for settings:

Fixed Price with Run Until Sold
All listings will require at least one photo image and have BuyNow Price above or equal to £1.00.
all listings will require at least one online payment option present
Google uses your eBid Store Name at Google Products.
Google Product Search truncates Store Names longer than 20 characters.
Avoid placing full capital lettering throughout the title. Use sparingly with capital letters only at the beginning of a sentence or word
Never have anything in the first 250 characters of your description that refers to shipping or that says anything not directly related to describing your item.
Google do not like 'Free Shipping' in titles or descriptions

Also Google Shopping doesn’t allow:
Generic images, Images that include borders, Images of a bundle that do not show the entire bundle

Exempt or barcode for item is required. Selling books maybe that's the ISBN but I don't know for sure.

Hi Babs,
I have recently opened a store here, also selling books. I have found Google to be hit or miss, as regards showing up on Google Shopping. My 2 books by Belli Luigi (no ISBN; the word EXEMPT entered in the listing) show up near the top as the only 2 books listed. Yet, another book, Gary Greenwood Jigsaw Men, with ISBN included, and everything else concerning listing practices identical to the Belli Luigi books, does not show up at all, with only 2 other copies shown.

I don't know why there should be such a disparity between the two. If someone has figured it out, please let me know.

I believe you will only see listings on the UK site if the seller ships to the UK. I had chosen No International Shipping. However, I have changed it now. You should be able to see my listings.
