    Default Show of Your Artwork

No idea if there are any arty types here that would like to show off but my family is very arty

First up is a recent drawing of David Bowie....drawn by my lovely big sister, Jacqueline

Then here are some paintings from her son Dan's current exhibition...the elephant on the floor was painted on four canvases and then placed on the floor

No idea how he does those 3D effects...the mind boggles

WOW!! They are soooo impressive. What a talented family. Did you inherit the talent?

That is amazing! I love the 3D art - reminds me of a clip I saw once about a sidewalk artist that had done a chalk hole in the sidewalk and everybody thought it was real and walked around it, then some turned back and stared - it was funny!

The artist in my family is my Mom - she has been quilting and stitching most of her life. She handmade quilts for every member of the family except me and every time I would ask when she was going to make ME a quilt she would reply that I already had quilts she had made (over 60 years ago) and I finally got her to understand that I wanted one "made for me"!

When she was in her 70s she stopped making big quilts because she just couldn't handle them any more and started making hand embroidered crazy quilts to frame. When I went up for my HS reunion last year I got to bring it home I'm so proud of my mama!

The work is magnificent. Trying to attach a pastel sketch of my cat Priscilla. Not sure if it has worked. Here goes, and hi to all.
