Thread: Google shopping, any eBid listings on first 2 pages?

  1. #1

Default Google shopping, any eBid listings on first 2 pages?

Just as it says really, does anybody on eBid have their listing on page 1 or 2 of GOOGLE shopping? If you do, can you post the search term and I'll go and have a look.

    Cheers all

Do you mean eBid listing on GOOGLE Shopping?

If you did, I went thru regular Google and found one of mine on page 2:

Candy Container Powder Horn Frosted Glass Indiana Glass Co. on ...
    http://www.ebid.net/.../candy-contai...glass-co-14831...
Candy Container Powder Horn Frosted Glass Indiana Glass Co. Listing in the Vintage & Retro,Collectables Category on eBid South Africa | 148315873.

Although it was stated to be closed and how it got on eBid South Africa, I have no idea. A Pop up came up and said it had been relisted and I could go to the new listing.

It also showed up with a picture on the right hand side of the page.

Searching on Google Shopping, it was the very first listing.

Hope that's what you were wanting to know.

    Ahhh yes I did!

I have now started to see my listings appear, so some progress is being made.

Oops! I just edited my reply while you were posting - LOL!! The new post came up correct as eBid/us

I think it does not happen ASAP - I think in #48 of Selling Help it mentions that Google chooses what they show and even though a listing is submitted by eBid, Google might reject it for reasons such as unclear picture, etc. Any lag time must be Google, not eBid.

eBid's submission of valid items to GS (Google Shopping) seems to be almost immediate.

GS does seem to take a bit of time to index items so that they can be found by searching (though they can actually be live on GS before they are searchable).

I have noticed in the past that the US site of GS is a lot slower to index items than the UK site - that may be a matter of sheer volume of items being processed.

I have quite a few listings that appear at or near the top of page 1:

    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...&q=belli+luigi (#3 and #5 of page 1)

    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...ningrad+nights (#2)

    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...t+bloch+terror (#4)

    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...ief+of+baghdad (#3)

    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...on+%231+signed (#1)

    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...=afterlife+666 (#1)

    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...avon+cry+tough (#1)

Unfortunately, it has not translated into sales, yet.
