It is reported that Rupert Murdoch's Farx# News is taking over Britain's Sky News, run by Rupert Murdoch's Son.

Does this mean that the news on Sky will now be trumped up?

Matter of fact, far as I go we seem to think one of the better USA news sources for reliable "just the facts" unbiased news is from *gasp* the BBC (BBC America)

I like watching BBC news Canada too.

On the forums I inhabit Fox does not have a very good reputation with the American members (remember it their numpty who came out with the report that our Birmingham was a no-go zone for anyone who is not muslim). From what I can make out it is the visual equivalent of our Sun or Sport newspapers. (If the story is not juicy enough then it is no problem with adding a few "facts".

the bbc does come across as relaxing informative way of getting the news, but like most news channels it does show a biased, its continued reporting on brexit and trump with a biased slant, mainly round none stories and opinion, even if you agree with the slant it is still biased, and goes far beyond reporting a story , its a bit like a child being spoon fed , its good for you, the only way really to stay informed is to view different media news channels , take a overall view for yourself, question whats being told to you, don't take anything at face value,

An American friend astonished me by saying that she & her friends like to watch ITV news... it is better than their local providers whereas we in the UK generally regard it as inferior to the BBC

I only watch I.T.V. News . I find BBC is to biased. Just my opinion

This deal may not make a lot of difference in reality, I can't remember where, but I read that Fox already had 39% of it before; which was more than likely a majority holding.
