Thread: Buy Now button not working?

  1. #1

Default Buy Now button not working?

I have a customer who wants to buy, but he says the Buy Now button is not working. Can I give him my Paypal address via a message? Please respond quickly if possible. Thanks.

I would think that might get you into trouble as it would be selling off site if they don't register the sale on eBid. I would contact support@ebid.net and tell them about the problem they are very good at sorting things out fast.

However if you mean that they have used the 'buy now' button and now want to pay then yes you can invoice them via Paypal because as an individual seller and not seller+ you don't have the perks of the eBid invoice system if I remember correctly.

Its not a problem. "BuyNow is only available to SELLER+ members or to SELLER members using the Platinum feature option."

Yes, that's why I asked. I know on ebay it would be a big problem. I'm not sure exactly what he means. He says "the link doesn't work". And since he messaged me, I take it the link to the listing itself does work. I think I'm going to ask him to try a different browser, or turn off any ad blocker, and see what happens.

Even if BuyNow is an extra feature, I would think the issue is selling off-site, not how the sale is made on ebid?

Thanks to both of you for your input. I did not get any notifications, but came back here manually.

Thanks MPS I forgot about that.

I would tell your buyer to clear his cookies then Google eBid.net and search for your username.

The fees have been kept so low on eBid for years and years that I don't resent paying them at all, it is real value for money on this site. Risking your account by selling off site would be a foolhardy thing to try. I hope you get whatever the problem is sorted and make your sale.

Thanks again. Support said that he risked losing his account for proposing an offsite sale, and I presume the same would be true if I went along. They thought my advice to him was good - to try another browser or turn off any adblocker. I would hate to lose the sale, but its' not worth the risk to go offsite. I also don't mind the fees here. The workman is worthy of his wage.
