Funnily enough, I always used the 'What's New' button to see which threads had been updated.
Glad to hear it's all been fixed.

I'm still getting this when I hit the Recent Posts button:
If the threads have not been updated or I have marked them as read why keep telling me about them?
The forums were working fine so why mess with them again? Wasn't anything learned from the last time? The maxim 'If it ain't broke then don't try to fix it' seems like a pretty good one to work with.
The forum software is off the shelf, we keep things updated to ensure security is not compromised.
We did update the forums a long time ago to their new version 5 software but ended up going back to version 4 when it did not work as we wished. We have kept it at version 4 ever since with just their small incidental security updates when needed, of which this was one.

As I mentioned before we have to update security releases of the software to ensure data safety, in this edition they "fixed" a problem to the way it was supposed to be in the first place.
We did not update to the newer version 5 of the software as we did a while back to ensure things are kept the same.
We've changed the function of the recent posts button to show any new posts including your own. You can mark as read if needed and they will all disappear under the separator row.
I'm not sure I understand the annoyance still... If anyone can explain it I can take another look if it really causing frustrations.
