While not wishing to drag this thread off topic, perhaps someone can answer a slightly related question about item numbers. If I want to give a short URL for a listing, how do I do that? I was hoping it would be as simple as: https://www.ebid.net/173762035

But that just gives a 404 error. Since putting the item number into search works, it would seem a URL like that would be a natural?

Don't know John, I'm not techie enough, maybe Astral or cheaver could help. Looking at my buddy link it looks like this :- https://www.ebid.net/uk/buddy/197704, so listings must be something similar.

You should be able to use a html editor & make text what you want it to say & then add hyperlink using the url of your item.

Hmmm. Sorry Ray, but to me that feels a bit like a recipe for a Bloody Mary that starts "Insert your hand in a blender...".

Your method works in environments where html is available. But not if you're sending a plain text email.

Contrast the situation here with ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362534757522 works. Admittedly it needs the 'itm', and I was hoping someone would tell me there's something similar on ebid. Even http://ebayitem.com/362534757522 works.

Why aren't you using bulk edit to increase your auto-reposts before they expire?
