All OK now after clearing my laptop's cache. Was worried for a while, I can tell you.

It looks like it was a DDOS attack, very well disguised to make it not look like one and that our hosts hardware was completely at fault. It was our first. We've been up working on it over 30 hours now. Hopefully we will start to see improvements from this point.
