Thread: Toning on stockbook pages

  1. #1

    Default Toning on stockbook pages

I have been offered some good condition stockbooks that have slight toning on some of the pages. I would welcome views as to whether toning would make it unsafe to keep stamps in these stockbooks. Thank you. Ray

    Hi Ray
They should be fine for used stock but I have found that mint stamps tend to pick up staining quite quickly from toning on pages, think its a reaction with the glue.
    All the best,

I have, for a number of reasons, not looked at the Stamp Forums since your reply, so here is a belated thank you. Your advice is always informative. best wishes. Ray
