    Default Fun with stamps

As often as possible I use discounted postage stamps on my sales parcels.

There have been several sellers of these on here or I use a stamp dealer.

Some of the stamps are too good to just stick on any old parcel. Recently I sold a pattern book to an Australian so I used one of these stamps...

I assume UK postage stamps are worth the face value, regardless of when they were printed?

I hadn't thought about searching for older stamps, which may sell for less than face value (if that's what you mean by discount). The UK has some really pretty stamps, tho I'll admit I find other countries often have more interesting and colorful variety. I used to collect world stamps. Started when I was little. When I started adulting, I would buy the prettiest stamps they had, as it made it feel like I was sending a little work of art with each letter or bill.

Not all stamps sell for face or less, Your Maj. But there are always some available at discount either from closing businesses or where too many were saved "for investment" and it is one of those things people don't know about.

    MPS... it's only a joke...

Any excuse for a party is a good one! I didn't think the post was a joke....tho I was not sure about what madelaine termed discounted stamps. If I have a selection of stamps on hand, I'll do like madelaine, and pick the ones that best match the purpose of the mailing. You have to enjoy the little things in life to be happy.
