I gather according to the news they are starting to test the NHS staff today & over the next few days, lets hope this will enable them to see where its going with this. All the reports & ideas that are coming up are saying this is the peak weekend coming up.
From what I've heard and read the peak will probably arrive two to thee week from now. It might be even later.

Ta Becky and Tony. In that case I don't quite make the cut. Unsure whether to be pleased or disappointed by that. Normally I wouldn't like to be thought of as 'elderly' but in the current situation it would be useful.

Those selfishly stockpiling are putting other people at greater risk. Instead of being able to get your essentials from one place you are forced by empty shelves to search multiple locations in the hope of finding what you need. For every place you go you increase your time and chances to exposure, plus the danger of you to others.

sorry but I'm not wading through 9 pages of posts but as this is virus alert page you might want to look at this link https://personal.help.royalmail.com/...ident-bulletin
It shows all the countries that are either not accepting or slowing postal deliveries.

Absolutely correct... we have 6 Large Grocery-supermarket Stores within 8 miles of our home... all have been sold out of essentials for the last 9 Days

I have decided to take the 17 mile trip to Lincoln next week for my shop and others in the community as being rural not a lot left in the local shops and somethings I buy not available especially my regular vit.C fix which according to a friend of mine is essential at the moment, sent me an email which says that in America they are giving some of those with the virus loaded Vit C shots, perhaps this can be confirmed by those on the forum in the USA. Must say though this is the first year since moving to this area 6 years ago I have been not been affected by a chest infection since I started it so probably could have some truth in it.

Spoke to my sister-in-law this morning and she said her son was the only one in the Lidl store at 8.45 the other morning.

Just wish people would stop stockpiling though, when I went to do my weekly shop 10 day ago their was no milk to be had on the shelves not even the goats milk, had to buy a carton of cream and add water as I had no milk at all, luckily was able to pick some up a couple of days later when I filled up with petrol.

    Keep safe everyone

I got this box left on the doorstep from the government. It's the first of a weekly food box for people in the extremely vulnerable group
