Something to consider if you haven't already...Only two visitors to my little pond.
Two beetles.
They drowned.
Ensure there is an escape route for animals such as hedgehogs. A ramp that they can use to climb out should they fall in could be a life saver.

Yes, I have built a ramp in preparation for all the tiny froglets too. Froggy Towers is awaiting tenants
