Variants
I know its probably a simple thing but i am trying to list Gift Boxes and Bags and want to list variants of them but i have done 3 listings and variants doesnt come up,is this a category where it cant be done? or am i not doing something right? any help most appreciated.

From my experience the variants are only available in a select few categories such as certain clothing where there might be different coloured shirts etc. If you don't see the variations section / option when listing in your chosen category then AFAIK it's not currently available for that category, you could try suggesting it in the website suggestions forum. Personally I think it should be available for all categories, that would stop all this from being a problem.

Variants are so misused, I wouldn't consider them.
I list everything separately, every variant has a different listing.
