Default Italics not presenting in live aution descriptions

I have used the italic text style option (which uses the html tag, as inserted by the default wysiwyg editor) but the text does not show as italicised in the live listings as it does in the editor. I am not adding any special html tags to style the text myself, the only thing I have inserted is a
tag above the paragraph in question.

The ... tags are likely being overridden by an eBid CSS rule with a higher priority. You could try changing them to ... tags or changing the opening
tags to:

    Code:

There is a difference between the HTML tag which indicates emphasised text (which most browsers will, by default, display in italics) and the em calculated unit of 'length' used in certain CSS properties (e.g. font-size, margins, etc.). The default behaviour of the HTLM tag can be modified by CSS. This is what I suspect eBid is doing on the listing page but without scouring their CSS files I cannot be certain.
