Has anyone else had an item that didn't want to be sold??

I had a vintage camera film cartridge - sold it begining of April, paid & for posted. No feedback left , no contact from buyer [UK] that it hadn't arrived. So far so good. /used to lack of feedback.
Begining of May it turns up back wuith me. Contact the buyer repeatedly with no luck. Wait 3 weeks and relist.
Mid June it sells again this time to Spain. Paid for & posted.
Last week the buyer messaged me to say the Post Office had returned it to me without ever notifying him they had it.
Says he still wants it and is willing to pay repeated postage. Still cant do anything until it gets back.
Had a similar issue 18 years ago [over on the other site] with a £300 camera to Argentina, turned up 4 months after posted

The only times I have had parcels bounce back here is when I had put my address down as delivery address instead of the customer's address.

Is there any hope for me?
