Default Continuing to lose sales and customers due to the following

    Hi everyone,

Just got this as a question on an item and its the one question I never have luck answering and it comes up probably every week from new, potential customers to Ebid and over all my years on here, I have yet to have a completed sale with anyone that asks this question, here it comes:

Hi, how do I purchase multiple cards at the same time to save on shipping?

Ask eBid to create an invoice. The seller adjusts the shipping charge and forwards it to the buyer.

I just recently purchased multiple items from a seller here.

It did throw me for a loop because you think you have to purchase / pay for then.

1 You won't see a shopping cart in your shop but. . .
2 You have your customer select the item and Buy It Now,
go back and select another item and Buy It Now, and so on. (I know it feels like you need to pay for each item but don't.
3 When the buyer looks at the list of items purchase, on the right side there is a drop down menu and request an invoice.

I am going to be updating my FAQ's for multiple item purchase and I am thinking about putting it in my listing to explain to buyers how to purchase multiple items. (Definitely want it on my craft items and smaller items that combining would be able to do)

    I hope this helps you.

You can set up automatic combined postage by going to My Defaults>My Shipping Defaults and choosing your options to suit your own circumstances. For example, I sell stamps. Additional sales do not increase the weight significantly so I have set up so that additional items do not increase the postage charge.
If you set up your shipping defaults buyers can buy multiple items using the Multi Item Checkout.

    I think you are right . . .

    But

Then you have shops that have multiple types of items that can vary the weight of the package to do that.

    Hmmmmm ?

You can apply different codes to the different categories that you might be selling and apply different criteria to different categories. For example you could do this if you sell magazines and postcards. You can also apply it to some categoris where such an approach is possible and not to other categories which would be difficult to standardise. The system is reasonably flexible.

I just started here due to ebait kicking all of us adult sellers to the curb and I didnt have a problem at all with a buyer buying several items at once, when you send the invoice you can choose to add all the items they purchased..... Its a lot different that the other site but getting the hang of it is half the fun, Listing here is a ton faster plus I can sell internationally too
