Can't register as a seller?

I just signed up for eBid and during the registration process it offers to sign up as either a buyer or as a seller+. The seller+ account cost a registration fee. I almost walked away, but looked a little bit and found that there is in fact a regular seller (not +) account. So I proceeded to sign up as a buyer and then went to upgrade my account and when I get my list of choices I can see seller, however whenever I click the credit card button to purchase for 0.00 I it gives me this error "Payment Method Not Currently Available. Please click back to pay with PayPal. " Of course if I go back and look, regular seller accounts do not have PayPal as an option. I find it a littel underhanded when they only offered seller+ accounts during registration, and now it looks like it's impossible to register as a regular seller. I'm thinking eBid is not a good eBay alternative anymore.

I joined ebid 3 weeks ago and had no problem setting myself up as a seller. Whether it is easier in England, I'm not sure.

I was thinking the same thing if it's because of the integration of Stripe.
Now I just had a sale the other day and it went through Paypal, but maybe it's to do with linking in the upgrading a seller part ?

Did you use a debit/credit card, or did you have to use PayPal?

Hi, its still exactly the same, i have the same problem, seems a bit dodgy to me. The free seller account doesnt exist, im not going to pay £70 to try out the site

Same issue here. Option to register directly as a SELLER is not available at signup time. Must choose either BUYER or SELLER+. After signing up as BUYER, you can attempt to upgrade to SELLER, but that fails with "Payment Method Not Currently Available. Please click back to pay with PayPal". However, despite this message, there is no option to pay with PayPal.

Maybe you are to click on the lower section to Seller+ to get the option to pay.

Otherwise, contact eBid administration.
