Thread: IOSS number

  1. #1

    Default IOSS number

    Hi Gazza,

    Did an IOSS number appear?
Have searched through FACTS, and tried the FORUMS, but can't find one.
Or does anyone else know the number?

    Cheers

    Hi Mark,
As far as I know, you only need IOSS number when posting to the EU - it shouldn't apply to the USA (best to try Googling/Royal Mail questions to see if that is correct).

On Etsy, they only supply their number when sending the order to your account, perhaps eBid does the same.

You do need to enter a material/product type number for the Royal Mail click & drop (RM site should allow a search on that when filling in details).

I gave up trying to find one. Instead I resorted to NOT sellecting the "Bought through online store" option on Royal Mail if that makes sense.
But I still included the edid item number written on the printed postage slip.

I think that IOSS is about being able to declare VAT on goods going to the EU.
If you are not liable for VAT then you do not need IOSS
