I have an idea that might start sales on eBid.

You list an item or two in the 'Plug Your Auctions' section as a 'Buy it Now' with free P+P.

The item is discounted every Friday until it's sold. if the price hits £0, the buyer gets the item sent to them free of charge.

Sort of like a reverse auction. You might lose money on the item, but it will draw attention to your other eBid 'Buy it Now' listings.

What do you think?

not a bad idea but id go more along with ebid doing a deal day like black friday all members would offer 1 item half price on that day mabe ebid could add a checkbox for the listing page then all the items would be listed together maybe as a special category and they could do zero commission sales to help or a fee refund on those sales
either way am happy to give some goods away for a promotion of sorts.

I fear that none of this will work without more traffic to eBid - which is why I use 3 ebid groups on facebook and I'm trying to post on each one once a day - these are public groups and searches can throw up these links. I have had sales as a result of this (not many but a few) and each fresh person who finds eBid is a potential customer for us all.

Yes, I'm trying to post on them too, just sometimes I get carried away with other things and forget, but I am trying to remember!
