Default Homepage - is it accurate?

This is an old question, is the homepage accurate?

    For example,

    1. top left it says Browse 2,899.140 Listings on eBid
    2. half way down right it says No. of Listings Worldwide 3,642.139
    3. and since 50000 alone of those listings are mine, is it really true I have over 1% of Ebid listings worldwide?

And then the Buddy point leader board has 10 points in the lead, and last time I checked I had over 81 points to spend

I took a guess that the "Frontpage" Buddy Point leaderboard was for those who have just joined that day, although I could be wrong.

As for listings worldwide etc... being accurate, no idea as I have just over 25,000 myself.

Both figures have changed since I read the thread yesterday, but I have my doubts about how accurate they are. Not very long ago some of the sub-cats. in glass were showing negative numbers. That was quickly fixed, but how? That there were negatives at all possibly means that the counters are corrupted in some way?

I've always thought that the top left, 2 million number, represents UK listings? And Worldwide includes the rest of the world added to the UK figure, giving the 3 million figure. But sometimes it seems that there is more activity within the, less than 1 million listings in the rest of the world, than there is in 2.8+ listings in the UK. Is that likely, do you think?

I've never taken much interest in Buddy Points and don't know how many I've got without finding them to check.

Having had a look at my buddy points, I have 3.795. That's after 10 years, about 350 listings and 100 sales. I've no idea how the sellers at the top of the leader board got so many points in so short a time, but well done them!
