Gene 696 - thank you for the welcome! It's only taken me 2 days to find this forum again, ha de har! In another couple of days, I might have figured out how to log in so as I can bid. Missed a nice little item tonight because I can log on to the Boards, but nowhere else!

Someone said they have Motown stuff for sale - must go look, and then thee's AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, Grateful Dead, The Beatles (alright, some of their stuff!), Status Quo, Peter Sellers - oh, A to Z!.

It's late and there's a hole burning in my pocket!

    youman said:
you might want to try a featured listing to start with...but having said that, is there a demand for vinyl in this day and age ?
There is a demand for vinyl. Some of my friends swear that certain albums just sound better on vinyl than they do on CD. The vinyl has a 'warmer' sound (as long as it's not full of cracks & pops of course!).

I know at least three people who are re-buying vinyl albums that they got rid of when CDs came out.

I have put up all my old vinyl on my website (free space with freeserve). I sell one or two now and again and everytime I put up something on ebid I include a link to it. In fact, I put loads of stuff on my site together with postage costs etc. so everybody knows exactly what it's going to cost them. I also put up a link to paypal, nochex.. They don't exactly fly out, but the pile is reducing bit by bit...

Agreed I like the 'sound' of a record, always have especially the trojan ska stuff. Think it sounds more real :?: maybe it's just me? My bf likes photo editting but I always ask him to leave me the originals because I don't want an album full of perfect photos, I want them as they are to look back on. Guess it's the same sort of thing ??

I used to collect vinyl and picture disks but haven't bought any for a long time. Have a unplayed don't cry (guns 'n' roses) picture disk and also a few meatloaf ones that have never been played. Have some unplayed coloured vinyl singles too. My mum has a huge box of records from years back, Bob Marley, T-rex, Sweet...all originals
