Would you try and win an auction if you knew som1 could come along 3 days before end of auction and BIN that item ? Again losing potential customers.
Before you set out to change the site at least get to know it and understand the way it works. Once a bid is made BuyNow (we don't have BIN here) is no longer available.

You are very keen on telling us we are losing sales but you do not back that up with any sort of evidence. It is just your opinion.

My evidence is a lack of buying here...from me! (even though things appear cheaper here) i still buy elsewhere becouse its easier and less confusing elsewhere.

Yes i am new here and trying to learn the ropes, trying to tweak to find the best way.
But things like auctions starting at 99p with a BIN set at £1 just seems daft. Even more so if it has auto extends.

I am not trying to change anything, i am not daft enough to think 1 persons thoughts could change anything.
BUT..i am 100% sure that sales are lost due to the confusion of choice and not just from me!

Sorry if you do not like my input but thas life, im only debating,,i am not trying to take over anything.

    Music.
Plato says when the music of a society changes, the whole society will
    change.
Aristotle, a contemporary of Plato's, says when music changes there should be laws to govern the nature and the character of that music.
Lenin says that the best and the quickest way to undermine any society is through its music!

I neither like nor dislike you making input. You are as free to make it as anyone else. All I am suggesting is that you make an attempt to learn how the site works before you knock it. The bulk of your complaints so far have been based on a faulty understanding of how the site works.

And your 'evidence' is still based on your personal opinion. You cannot extrapolate that to encompass others without hard facts.

To show on Google a BN price is required. I set the auction at a price I am happy to accept and add a bit for BN - I have been getting new sales through Google, and all have managed very easily.

Instead of just bellyaching about how stupid we all are here, how about reading the Threads for Newbies - all this is covered (and more) over and over again.

Do you find it confusing? Most seem to be managing fine.
Just takes a bit of patience - as I said try reading the Threads for Newbies.
Anyway, have a good New Year - bye x

    Hi,
I am a newbie to selling on ebid having come from 'the other side'and just opened a shop (I think!)
I was wondering if anyone has time to check out the shop for me and any comments will be welcome (good and bad).
Any advice for selling on e.bid would be great - thanks

Question Is seller+ lifetime subscription worthwhile?

Hi folks, I've been a member of ebid since September but this is my first REAL visit - and post - to the forum.

Basically, I wanted to find out what the "old hands" think of the Seller+Lifetime subscription cos I'm seriously thinking of upgrading - and only have a couple of days left to do it! Although as stated, I've been a member of ebid for a few months now and am running a few auctions, I've never actually SOLD anything yet. I've got loads of assorted stuff to sell, most of it new but I am NOT a business seller. I've been reading reviews re ebid and am encouraged by 95% of the stuff I've read. The other 5% - very negative stuff - I put down to folk who have shares or something on ebay cos the majority of people can't be THAT wrong!

Any advice would be most welcome - and the sooner, the better.

    Thank you in advance.

...most of them have gone for Seller+ and seem to feel that eBid is the future - I certainly feel it is growing - the dark side doesn't want us wee people - I feel at home here - think you will like it
