wanted, a book from my childhood

hi all

i dont really have a lot to go on, only that the book was about willie the watervole.

all his family were busy so someone suggested he went out and took his sketch pad and drew wildflowers

i can remember the pictures from the book clearly, but that doesnt really help in any search

the book was hard backed, and had a double picture on the inside front cover and also at the back.

all i can do is hope someone else remembers this book from childhood and can remember the title.

any help appreciated

I seem to remember a ladybird book called "The Sleepy Water Vole" as a child.
Could this be the one??

thanks carpfisher, i will look into it, though i dont remember him being very sleepy

i remembered something else about it, he liked to do somersaults into the river and he picked a honeysuckle trumpet and was told to blow in it, instead of blowing he sucked.

ring any bells anyone?

How about "WILLIE WATER-VOLE AND THE WILD FLOWERS"

If you do a worldwide search on Google for above title (inc quotation marks), it comes up with a link to a specific book at bookstore but when you arrive, book is no longer there, so no further info, sold perhaps?

Here's a pic of other book suggested, story doesn't sound right though.

i have managed to get some details as the original page was saved by google from april 2004

if this is the one, and i think it is, it means i now know the proper title and the publishers - which are

WILLIE WATER-VOLE AND THE WILD FLOWERS

SLOUTH BENWIG BOOKS

hopefully enough information to approach a bookseller, or one of those firms that trace out of print books

if anyone should ever see this book, then please let me know
