jam is a preserve i think . As a preserve i am sure that they will last longer that a couple of days if its in a sealed jar.

Think they should last a while... me thinks all the sugary type stuff keeps it 'alive'... jams n chutnies and stuff are oldy worldy 'what yer nan made in the (pmsl) olden days' so I'm sure they would last a while... not like fifty years or anything stooopid but a fair while... that said, if it's as good as that evil fudge stuff then it will be gobbled up pretty rapidly!

How are you these days anyway Mel?

i thought it would last longer than that?

my mum makes jars of the stuff and puts it in the cupboard until it gets eaten

but if any goes mank on the top it gets chucked

i thought because of the amount of sugar in it, it doesnt go off as such

but as i have never made jam etc... its just a guess
