Thread: Software freebies.

    Default Software freebies.

Okay, not free, it'll cost you £4.99, but close enough innit.

I bought the DVD edition of PC Pro on my way home yesterday because the cover dvd is jammed packed with full products. Here is a list of the full products...

Star Office 7 - A complete office suit that is Microsoft Office compatible and has more features than Microsoft Office

Carrara Studio 2.1 - Create realistic 3D artwork and animations. This software alone retails at £290 !

Serif Webplus 7.06 - Make instant websites with simple wizards. Edit and add effects. Powerfull drawing and image tools.

PC Booster 3 - One click optimisation, speed up your PC and make Windows more stable too.

Ashampoo Burning Studio 2005 - DVD and CD burning suite.

    Amapi 3D 6.1 - Powerfull 3D modelling.

Mindmap 3.5 - Perfect brainstorming tool.

CyberLink PowerBackup 1.01 OEM - Secure, fuss free backup.

Professor Franklin's Instant Photo Artist - Turn a photo into a work of art in minutes.

EmEditor Professional 4 - A great VBScript and JavaScript editor.

Those are the full retail product's but the DVD has ton's more freeware, shareware, and demo's on it too, way too many to list here.

The magazine is issue 141, July 2006, DVD, edition of PC Pro.

Thought I'd mention it incase folk were interested in any of the software.

The Star Office 7 software is what grabbed my attention, mainly because my youngest and eldest daughters are looking for Microsoft Office so they can do their course work at home, but at £70 (or whatever it is these days) it's a little pricey.

This is a retail version by Sun, it has a lot more to it than the free version and retails at £38.

There's no mention of it in the description, I've not installed it yet.

But there is Serif WebPlus 7 on the CD for building websites.

Does the £4.99 include p&p, or is that extra?

We don't get that mag where we live...it's like no-man's land! But I'd be willing to buy the disc from someone else!
