& your claim about Winter Solstice, which pre-dates Christmas.

that is not a legal or nationaly none holliday or marked
with greeting cards--on the calider as legal holliday the every one gets a day off work!
So no solstic is not a legal holliday!

As I said in my last post
what are the legal holidays in each month, that pre-date Christmas ?
Given that Christmas was first celebrated on December 25th in 354AD.

If there are no legal holidays in each month which pre-date 345AD, then they couldn't have decided to have Christmas in december because it was the only month with no legal (your word not mine) holiday.

How did they decide in 345AD that they could make money from Christmas cards by having Christmas in december, when Christmas Cards hadn't been invented?


If what you meant to say was that Christmas was commercialised because they wanted a way to make money in december, I'd have to agree with you, but the holiday was already celebrated on that date, long before commercialisation.

Columbus day?? Not a holiday here, legal or otherwise. It's not a global holiday at all only celebrated in the Americas.

As for the Queen getting rights, I take it you mean HRH Queen Elizabeth II, her birthday is 21 April she was born in 1926, so she wasn't around in the time of Columbus.

The reason for eggs at the time of Easter is quite simple. In fasting for Lent, the Christian would use up perishables, hence Pancake Tuesday coming before Ash Wednesday at the start of Lent, which runs until Easter.

The hens, of course, don't stop laying for Lent so many eggs would be waiting for use by the end of this period and would often be hard-boiled to keep a little longer, hence there were traditionally many eggs available at Easter. Children used to decorate them and roll them down hills before chocolate eggs took over.

Of course there are also other symbolisms attached to the egg which are appropriate in the spiritual sense and also link with pagan celebrations of Spring.

Just as does Christmas with its yule log for the turning of the year.

I've tried to resist responding to your posts recently but I can hold back no more. Who exactly do you think you are? I know you are supposedly a guardian of druid something, and owner of 1000 Djinn and an army intel officer and whatever else you dream about the night before, but what I mean is who do you think you are really? Telling people to take time to read what you try to write as they may learn something?
I would like to suggest that before you start telling people they may learn from you, mr army intel officer, you might consider learning some things for yourself, like how to spell just off the top of my head.


Just before I close this post, I would like to ask about Jesus, Columbus and HRH Queen Elizabeth II - could you please confirm my suspicions that they are/were not actually people but rather Djinn?

My Husband and i are both intersted in the Pagan religion so would deem ourselves infant pagans that are learning , we believe that everyone has a right to believe what they want, My son is a Pagan and had a Pagan Wedding last year. I like to practice with wicca and am also looking at tarot.
At the moment i an reading the understanding of wicca, i have yet to find which path i am going to take. Just thought i would reply to this very interesting subject.

Good morning all!

Quick update on my path, I have finally found a Coven that 'clicks' with me I am pre-initiate, another 8 months and I will be a 1st degree initialte. I have to say that I am learning at a much faster pace now, however the 8-9 years I spent as a solitary is standing me in good stead, I surprise myself at times LOL
