    Just a word of advice...my avatar was too big, but once I changed the format from .jpg to .gif it was ok. You can download a free image editor from freeserifsoftware.com to do this, as well as resizing etc.

    I use PNGs nowadays as they tend to be smaller than JPEGS but without loss of quality you some times get with GIFS.

    Fed up of having to use rubbish avatars and low rate sigs.

    A good setting would be ...

    125 x 125 pixels ( 30 kb )

    Sigs are already a good size but again the kb should be about 30 kb
