    Default Can any help me date and price this silverplate item.

    It is a silver plate spoon with holes, very ornate, sugar or berry sifter? Marked D & A which i believe to be daniel and arter of birmingham (brazilian silver). Do you know of its age or rough worth. Many thanks.

    Hello the only one I can find in my books is a Victorian Silver plated sugar sifter spoon very ornate looking ,but my books are way out of date on price 1978 prices this one was only £4.00p but thinking £4.00p was a fair bit of money nearly 30 years ago, sorry cannot help more

    Its probably a SILVER PLATED SUGAR SPOON or CONSERVE SPOON The fluted bowl will have panels in which are raised designs of fruits: pineapple, plums, grapes, apples, pears, etc. which are repeated, in raised design.

    If your's is familiar in design there is one on another site with a start price of £3

    Try finding uk living link on google, look for either bargain hunt and such like programmes you get on tv, Im sure they will show you the pics and tell you the dates of the actual stamping. Then you could try antiques roadshow on bbc.co.uk not sure if it is still there though. Good luck

    The majority of BBC message boards (forums) have been disbanded.A new forum was started to replace the antiques message board by some very nice people here

    Best, if you want info on an item, is to provide a picture though as you cannot tell a lot without one really.
