Proposal: Establish what your target audience (and target outcome) is and then concentrate on that, before spending cash. In fact, I've just had a simple idea about how to start finding out.
    Cost: FREE

I've updated the proposals on the first post.

NYK for post 12 what proposal are you trying to establish your target audience for? I've already considered my target audience ( and outcomes) in my proposal.

My target audience would be online shoppers and bargain hunters.

Cheers everyone, Some of you might know that I'm a newbie to Ebid. This is an interesting discussion, however, I am confused as to what the issue is, is it not enough SELLERS, Viewers or BIDDERS ? It seems there are plenty of sellers, plenty of viewers, but the problem that I see, is that unlike other auctions sites, viewers dont translate into bidders. To me this is a far greater issue than anything else, I see many sellers complaining about this.I assume that most of you are sellers and you think Ebid needs more exposure to increase your sales, if that is the case, will more sellers increase your sales, will rewarding top sellers help your sales, will educating sellers help you sales, I dont think any of these will be of much help, other than Hanna's idea about a video ad / viral video( Maybe a Youtube competition as opposed to an Ebid competition), which does have some merit. I think we must identify the problem before we can even start to resolve it, so I ask, what is the problem, that all of you are seeking to resolve. I would really like to see Ebid succeed and become a liable alternative to Ebay and I'm certainly willing to help....

Could you please copy your discussion to the 'ideas' thread ( also in this forum) and delete your post in this one. A full explaination on what THIS thread is for can be found in the first post.

HH I think we could do with all the help available, the numbers on this thread aren't exactly stacking up and I think it's because there are just too many similar threads. I'm thoroughly confused by them all. I think this thread is for brief statements pertaining to actual proposals along with costs. We have no deadlines, no clear set objectives and no indication of who, when or how this will ever be implemented. You don't need a degree in project management to orchestrate a £2,000 proposal, sorry. Simple fact is, everyone that grumbled about the lack of advertising on eBid scampered as soon as they were offered a fair hearing and, given the opportunity to show they could do a better job, adequately proved that they couldn't. With all due respects, I, too, am retiring from this sham, not in defeat, I might add, but to quit wasting any more time and to get on with the job.
This is nothing personal against you, nor is it any kind of grudge, it is simple logic... time is money. Count up the man hours spent on this entire promotional forum even at minimum national wage and see how far £2k goes.

PLEASE PLEASE use the 'ideas' thread for your discussions- not this thread
As stated in the opening post this thread is for proposals that you've already discussed and costed. I need to be able to add a poll to this thread later if it gets as long as the original thread no one will read it!

HannHolly, I think it would be best to have a cut-off date to have promotions in by. After that date the Poll can be made and get the ball rolling.
The problem at the moment is I can see the thread never ending again. I think we should have a 'Get it in by this date or finish' otherwise we'll never see the £2000 spent

I'll delete this once you've seen it ^_^
