Perhaps make an offer to disillusioned Tazbar Sellers with the opportunity to move all their auctions across, and cut the membership price as NYKmedia suggested, like when Yahoo auctions folded ;-)

I've been thinking about this since I saw the Taz forum post this morning.

I think I will stick it out there until the New Year as worked long and hard on my listings and put a lot of effort into making buyers aware of my listings... So if there is any Christmas sales to be had I don't want to miss out, but as I have just said in another post... Come the New Year then that's a different story

I agree with you there. I reckon a lot of people will stick it out throughout December and soak up the £4.50 + fee but come January sales are going to be very slow across the board and the listings will probably drop off in the thousands :|
I'm annoyed because I just spent ages getting a Bulk Listing up there (last week) and now i hear about charges through the good people who are the sellers and not a word from the management. The way things are in the forum across there tonight I wouldn't be surprised if Tazbar went the same way as QXL and had around 4,000 auctions before long.

Before all the doom and gloom spreads, there is the small point of unlimited listings with a gallery picture and no FVF for £4 a month so I don't think that is too bad personally. Just think what unlimited listings and FVF's would cost you on Greedbay!

But I would get sales on ebay, Ken! I've never paid £4 in fees in a single month yet on Tazbar

And the traffic is much lower than here, so I might as well list it all on here and save myself the effort of running two sites

I wonder how many people actually reach the £4 mark in fees at the moment

I turned up here again a short while ago and have been trying to divide my time between the 2 sites - I dont have a great deal listed here but I am only surprised I managed to list the items I have over there what with all the glitches.

I am undecided whether I will leave them when the charges come in - I think I'll keep to under ten listings until after the hols and then close things down there then - might as well spread my listings over as many sites as I can and catch a few crimbo sales

I dont think its such a bad move by tazbar to be fair. they probably hve looked around at all the other "free" auction sites and realised, that a completely free to list site, just dosnt work, not for the site to grow.
