Default Call Of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare

I'm not normal a FPS fan, after reading a glowing online review from gamespot.com. I went out and brought out.

You can understand why it won the 40 awards, the photo-realistic graphics as Game Informer calls them are something to see in action.

I have not yet finished the game, just done a C130 mission and it was so spooky it was like watching the events unfold on TV and just had to play it again. The firefights are something else with everything exploding around you, you simply darent pop around the corner and look.

The big feature is the Multiplay going online against up to 50 players in some cases in a free for all is just sheer madness more so if you small map to play on. The more you play online you more can unlock in new weapons and new skins this is a new feature i not come across before.

    Its well worth checking out.

    It's a fantastic game.
Incredibly intense, frustratingly difficult (on the harder settings) and scary as hell when you think that some of the levels are pretty much what the guys in Iraq face on almost a daily basis.

    Definitely a 9.5/10 game!

Later in the game you'll find yourself in a radiation filled city named Pripyat. The images in the game are based on reality.

This one should be familiar to anyone who has played that level.

It is taken from the website of a Russian woman who regularly rides through the area around Chernobyl.

It's an incredibly haunting journey showing a part of history that all politicians and military people should be made to view.

Yes i agree i was on the level of getting the tank moving that broke down, and the whole level was nothing but exchanging fire with enemy, god knows how these guys and girls in iraq can cope with it I couldnt thats for sure.

Regarding the photo, I as soon as I saw the wheel in the game I knew where that had come from, i maybe wrong about this but i believe the wheel infact has never been used. It was about to be opened to the public when the reactor went on melt down.

As one person visiting the area for a TV Doc said "like time had just stoped"

The level in Chernobyl is called "Ghillie in the Mist" and was my favourite of them all.

The british part at towards the start of the game was quite bland and has been done to death but as soon as you go to the USMC forces the party really starts.

    9/10

Bought it yesterday ,but can't get it working:

Keeps coming up with DirectX errors even though I've got the latest update.

    Shame, cos it looks great!

If the PC version is the same as the Xbox 360 version, then it really is worth staying with.

I bought my children a PS3 for Christmas last year. My son bought Call of Duty 4 a few months later. This is the best game I have ever played next to my addiction to World of Warcraft. I have a 48" LCD HD1080 Tv and it is so realistic that it's scary. With a screen that size everything looks real and to scale. It is almost like your there when you turn on the surround sound. I am 40 years old and am still hooked on video games. I play this game almost every day. It is more than worth buying!
