Immediate action to be taken on sensing a nuclear explosion:
- Turn away from the flash to protect your eyes
- Crouch down low in preparation for the shock wave which will follow.
- Place hands, palms down, on the back of your neck
- Place your head between your knees
- Kiss your a*se goodbye
How can you 'teach' lefty propaganda?
Anyway, I think I know what you are getting at, but do you really, really believe that is the case?
Practically all 'left-leaning' lecturers I have known would cack themselves at the reality of a true Socialist, or God help us, Communist government getting to power.
Most students I have known, got influenced by the SWP guy canvassing "Student Towers", in their first and second year, but the stark reality hit in the third year when they realised they would have to toe the establishment line. Did they go back to their middle-leaning-, or right-wing-middle-class roots, when they realised the job lined up for them relied on 'fitting in with the culture'?
Too f***** right they did.
Bang went the street lingo too. The "olds" or "'rents" reverted back to being mother and father.
Most people in higher education establishments (lecturers and students) wouldn't know lefty propaganda if it gubbed them in the chops with a red flag.

Back to voting. IMHO I say stick with the party, that reflects your personal political agenda, irrespective of the recent expenses sleaze!
ALL parties have bad apples. They have for years. They have been found out. When this dies down things will go back to 'normal' i.e.the remaining bad apples will find another way to improve their lifestyle via their career as an M.P.
How is voting for another party going to change things, unless that party in the last few weeks has aligned its manifesto to suit you, or you have changed your political agenda to suit them.
Keep a level head. Remember, the expenses sleaze is about individuals (who got caught) not party policies. All you are doing by voting for a different party than you normally would (especially if you have decided on a 'fringe' party) is make it easier for your traditionally rival party to get in.
I know some will think I have missed the point, but are you going to start supporting Yourtown City, just because your team, Yourtown United, has some dodgy players,
Or to illustrate my point more lets use some real teams.
Man U - Man City
Saints - Pompey
Celtic - Rangers
Labour - Conservative.
