I doubt they could afford to lose so many customers. To me, BT still represents the UK's telecomms industry whether controlled by private companies or the government. They have a huge responsibility and should not take risks.

    More porkies from Phorm?
In an video interview Marc Burgess claimed they had met informally with the EU Commission or some of its members and discussed Phorm. Not to the knowledge of Commissioner Reding they didn't.

check the reply sent by the Commission and received today. Its over on Pingus

I wouldn't get too complacent about these developments. History shows that these things can be officially dropped only to be brought in through the back door when nobody's looking.

    Afternoon all
updates on pingus website. new foi replies and porkies from Phorm

EarthAngel. NO danger of complacency still fighting on. The government still has questions to answer over this.

ps Waiting to see what Commissioner Reding of the EU (telecoms) and Commissioner Kuvena (Consumer Affairs) have up their sleeve. Will the government be taken to the European Court for failing to protect your privacy or has the reply sent to the EU been good enough to save them. Whichever way they are going to have to mend their ways.
Already the toothless watchdog the chocolate fireguard that is the ICO has been promised the power to fine for infractions of the Data Protection Act. (April 2010 at the earliest)

Want to be sickened by this governments arse covering and mealy mouthed attitude to freedom of information requests. Read the reply from the cabinet office to one poor soul who had the temerity to ask for information of public interest. Go over to Pingus and read the reply.

I hate to say this, but your site is VERY difficult to follow. Too many little bits of information all over the place, it's a nightmare.

    I can't read that, sorry.
