    Default Has ebid website changed?

    Hi all,
The reason I'm asking this question is normaly I have to enable javascript to display ebid's web pages correctly, this time its as if its not required?
I'm using Firefox with Noscript which gives me great control of scripts.
Perhaps there has been an update to the code/website that changes the way it displays?
    Cheers
    mon and steve

It might be to do with the eBid servers moving to Dallas USA which happened a week or so back. It should be giving everybody more speed so maybe that has improved things for you?

I think his browser was probally screwed up before. The forums are just a text/html with no encryption. Probally did an auto upate for him somewhere along the line. Like how do you control scripts with No script? Lost me somewhere on that one. I use firefox also and you have to enable the console to work with it.

That makes sense, I've not logged in for over a week or so. I guess they made a few changes.
Ebid ran well prior to change over for me but the difference is even better.
The pages look much better without js enabled now.
(For security reasons I tend to surf with all scripts/flash etc off).
    Thanks Cornishmaid.

Sorry I should have been clearer I was refering to the auction pages and not the forum pages.
I've enabled scripts etc in Firefox's options and use the NoScript addon for a much finer control of scripts/flash and quite alot of other stuff.

Surprising how many different scripts can be in a web page and often they can be from a different server/company.
On this page I'm showing 2 Iframes and 4 scripts (1 of which is ebid)
All of this I've blocked at the moment but I can easily enable them, that's why I like Noscript a lot.

    Hope that makes sense?

As long as you're happy that's what counts! I use the console to update source code in some other sites I have. Welcome aboard.

I wish you good fortune and happiness in your ventures.
(thanks bluebedouin, it's small world, wouldn't it be funny if we lived in the same street!).
