Catalogs

Hello,

We would like to see a category or a subcategory under Books designated for catalogs. They're not quite books nor magazines, it's a bit unclear where they fit better.

For instance this item that I have just put on an auction:

I intend to put several more and not sure whether I should list them under Books: Antiquarian (since they're not antique, although the content is) and Magazines: Art and Photography (also not really there).

If I understood the listing correctly, you are talking about sale catalogs or auction catalogs that may feature antiques but aren't antique themselves. These could also include programs from artists gallery showings or museum exhibitions. I think a sub category under non-fiction would work nicely. You might want to review the procedure for submitting such request at the beginning of this forum to submit it in the proper format. Apparently that's the way they want it done here.

I would like a category "Catalogs". It doesn't require subcategories.

Good idea!

There are currently 350+ listings for catalogues, and they are in all sorts of places.

Perhaps 'Brochures' could have a category too, as often the two get mis-named?
