Chelsea FC have been banned from signing players till January 2011 it was just on sky sports news.

Just wondering if there are any Chelsea fans on here as there squad will be old by then.

To be honest, I find the news oddly welcomed, especially as times are very hard for a lot of people.. it can be a slap in the face when you hear of someone been bought for so many millions of euros/pounds when other folk are worried sick about their next mortgage payments... maybe football will get back to been about the game it was when it first started out rather than the celebrities and money it's mostly known for..

I think I'd prefer to see him invest in a Professional Soccer Academy and encourage some players to become coaches... always a good idea to invest in the youth, especially those hanging around street corners who are never normally given the chance because of how they conduct themselves... some given the opportunity to do better for themselves will normally take up the idea; those beyond it will simply slide back into their old ways...
