Really strange Glitch, is it just affecting me?

As most of you know I have 2 user ID's on eBid, I usually post using my main Gothicina ID unless I'm using the plug section or the query is ID specific.

My 2nd ID is Kewtonia, & has been for just over 3 years, earlier tonight I noticed that my ID on the forum had changed from Kewtonia to Kewtonia2.
I didn't request this change, & certainly don't want it.
To be honest I'm not exactly sure when this happened, as I don't regularly browse using this ID although I don't think it's been very long, probably less than a week.

All my old posts are showing the Kewtonia2 ID as well.

If I try & login to the forums using Kewtonia, I get invalid username, same thing with forum search.

If I search the site for Kewtonia2 I get user not found.

Obviously the link between my forum ID & site ID is now broken.

I emailed support earlier, but for some reason didn't get an automated ticket, so have just used the contact us form,(no automated ticket from that either, yet I'm getting closed & repost emails OK, & it was working to support on the 8th Oct) as you know that says to post on the forums as well.

So has anybody else had their username on the forums changed without requesting it?

Nothing happened to my username but a while back my buddy link appeared in my signature and as at the time I didn't know what a buddy link was...I still don't know how it got there

Not seen anything like that before, that's truly weird. Hope you get it sorted soon, it's not natural seeing you post in the wrong ID!

No we are not getting what you are but we are having strange 'goings on' with our email constantly being unrecognised by ebid and being given new paswords every two days. When I email support for a new one it is not working i.e. no email coming back from support until I request a completely new password as if a new member. We have not changed our email.

I got an automated reply about an hour after my original post in this thread,but obviously don't know which report they replied to, so that could have been delays in blueyonder mail.
At least support are looking at it.

I'm wondering if these annoying little glitches arebeing created when they test the new site?

The name changed couldn't have happened that long ago, because when I tried to check if anything had changed I had to login to the forums (using the wrong name), the last time I had to do that was the server change, as I'm always permanently logged in.

On feebay some of us using XP got something that reversed or broke PP links, shut our computers down etc. Lasted for months. Each had slightly different symptoms.

Might those experiencing these annoying glitches be using same operating sytems?

Strange things are afoot

I had my location set as 'wouldn't you like to know'....but it has been changed to my real location.

I know I didn't change it as the new location was stated as 'United Kingdom' and I have had to change it to 'England' as I would never use the term 'United Kingdom' as my location on here

Have had a problem today with getting message an email sent me did not get to my email. Stated I had to confirm my email and they would send me a new passwork. Went in and changed it back to old one, but had to relog into forums. Wonder if this was another glich? Never had this problem before.
