Looking at some of the ebid shops in the car parts section - they seem to have 1,000s of listings but zero feedback.
How is this possible?
Thanks
Mike

They've never sold anything, I imagine. Did you buy from them?
Do we have a car section?
One star in our galaxy shines 10% less brightly than its nearest neighbour. How is that possible?
That question, like yours, needs a lot more information provided before any sort of answer can be attempted.
More info.

More than 8,700 items listed, but zero feedback....??
Cheers

Are the prices fair? Has he done anything to promote himself on ebid? Does he advertise? Sales here are slower than eby because the site is much smaller, and the footfall likewise. To make sales here you have to get everything right, they don't fall into your lap. I'm not going to comment on somebody else's listings in their absence.
If you have questions about selling here yourself, why not just come right out and ask - I'm sure folks will do their best to help. But I can't see much mileage in speculating about what somebody else might or might not be doing, sorry.
Now, how can we help *you*?

I agree Kedo.
I joined eBid in 2005 and sold a couple of things but didn't start selling properly here until March 2008 so my feedback is only from this time. It looks like this seller has done the same thing and has started selling in October of this year.
My feedback would also be a lot higher if all my buyers had left it !

Hi Kedo & CornishMaid.
It seems from what you say there is no mechanism where a store owner can 'hide' feedback it's just that they haven't received any yet.... and also that feedback is harder to receive on ebid.
I suppose one has to work that much harder to make an impact!
Thanks for your comments.
Mike
In my experience a lot of sales here come via people seeing items on Google and coming in to buy. Those buyers rarely leave feedback for some reason.
I had a repeat buyer today, so they were clearly happy with their earlier purchase and service, but they hadn't left any feedback for their previous buying experience (and probably will not for this one). Should I worry? No. Only if they leave negative feedback.
Sellers who have been here a while seem to fret less about feedback. If you get it it is nice but no worries if it doesn't appear. We are here to sell - not accumulate fantastic feedback scores. eBid introduced feedback chaser emails but the general opinion (of those who expressed one) was they were not happy for this to be done. Shows a different mindset to what you may be used to elsewhere.
