David Bowie (from 1969 onwards), Queen from the mid 70's and Pink Floyd from the late 70's.
I still listen to all those artists regularly and purposely listen to my local radio station that plays all that stuff too

I'm sure there are more I could think of but it was a long time ago as you have pointed out!!
Still play their "records" and would happily go and see any in concert today, given the opportunity - except perhaps for David Bowie who for me lost his way in the 70's.
