    Default Cold Weather!

WOW! We may be getting freezing rain or sleet tonite if some of the weather predicting people get it right. I've been covering my Pineapple plant for the last couple of nights and the neighbor says that his tomato plants are done for the season.

Light mist falling and temp dropping. Might get a bit of snow after all. Little late for a white Christmas though.

For those that aren't familiar with the US, Florida doesn't get too much in the way of snow.

Florida and freezing rain doesn't go together in my mind but Florida, humid, very hot, sunshine does. The world is changing.

I lived in Alabama for 18 months JB and I've seen the freezing rain - it makes a wonderful picture but is also very scary if you're not used to it.

The only time I was ever in New Orleans it snowed. Actually it was a freezing rain. Had to spend the night in the mall because they closed all the bridges and couldn't get back to the motel. Bummer!

It's cold but the rain moved thru so no snow materialized so far. I'll let y'all know if we get any.

My dad spent a few years in Florida, early 90's. I remember one year of sub zero temparatures there; it destroyed the orange crops/blossom.
