Thread: Parcel2go or Not2go

  1. #1

    Thumbs down Parcel2go or Not2go

I've used parcel2go a few times now, and have experienced failed collections on 3 out of 5 parcels. This is really annoying as I have to make sure I am in all day, and then they don't come to collect. Then I have to rebook collection, print new labels, and have to wait in the next day too.
The last item I have tried to send has not been collected 2 days running now. If it doesn't happen this time I am going to have to send it using another service, as it is unfair to make the buyer wait even longer. I've sent a message to the buyer explaining the problem.

Has anyone else here experienced problems with collections?

TBH I have never had an issue but I always use the DHL 48 service. Which one do you use?

I used Parcel force option for this latest one.

I have to reprint 4 new labels, 3 invoices & 2 manifests each time it is rebooked.
27 sheets of paper, 3 document pouches & lots of wasted time later, I am now awaiting the 3rd attempt at a collection.

Personally I only use parcelforce when it's going out UK to some other European country, but I take it to the PO when doing that. For UK I stick with DHL, outside Europe it's fedex.

I don't think your issue is with parcel2go, I think it's more likely to be with the courier/s

The parcel is going to europe.
It would cost nearly twice as much if I took it to the post office.

You can always drop off parcelforce parcels at the parcelforce depot after you have paid with parcel2go. How that fits in with your logistics may differ to me

I've used the DHL service through Parcel2go loads of times, both to UK and Europe. Never had any problems with pick up.
I think the weather is causing some delay with pick ups in some parts of the country isn't it.

Parcel wasn't collected today either, this is very frustrating.
I had a moan on live help, but they told me to phone in the morning, so I will do that, and get them to change courier to DHL.
I understand the weather problem, but today and yesterday I see city link, DHL, UPS, Somerfield and Tesco deliveries up my road.

The buyer of the item I am sending paid straight away, and it has been a week now and it is still not been dispached.

One hopes that one gets what one pays for... Personally I would just stick to the well known couriers or Royal Mail.
