Maybe not a problem you will have to suffer again as your attitude is hardly likely to engender people to respond to your queries in future.

why would you make me out to be the bad guy,
so I get a bit short at times when I fail to understand the problem with answering a short simple question,

I always try to keep them short ,but make sure the relivent facts are included,

and I believe they are in the OP,,

and I believe that there is a lot of sellers out there getting short shift if some of the answers are to be believed

Sorry I just assumed that all the members on here had some common sense. Seems I might have been wrong.

I think I understand this question. The title was about a postal return, so the OP wants to know basically if he (Old Sender/new receipient) is responsible for claiming on lost parcel or if the new sender (previous receipient). In my opinion it would be the new sender who is responsible

well craig, me to, but you would have read some of the answers and realised we are wrong,

some funny one out there, want the seller to be responsable for everything
not just getting item to buyer to also for getting it back on a return ,

    heaven help us,

Why ask a question if you had already made you mind up what answer you wanted.

The Seller. The seller is responsible for delivering to the buyer. The goods belong to the seller until they are in the buyers hands.

    Its not. Its simple

The customer/buyer/poster. Thats if you don't trust your customer, are happy to get neg feedback and lose future sales.

You. If you value your customers and want to keep them

[QUOTE=TonyBridger;1139985]I did say what to do if you if you don't trust your customer

would you explain where you did that, have I missed something,

but being honest you failed to grasp my point,
it was a simple, who is responsable for claiming when an item goes walkabout,, the person posting it, or the person waiting for it,

simply put, it draws attention for others,

if you believe that the seller is totally responsible for EVERTHING,
as a lot of replys seem to say,

perhaps now there may be some that have changed their minds,

I can understand the sellers responsibility, getting the item to the buyer,

BUT NOT the seller being responsible for returning items SENT BY THE BUYER

as you yourself also believed, unless I misunderstand you,

GLAD I could sort something out for your benifit also,

but then again may be not, you would still hold your self responsable in that set of circumstances.

I would be perfectly aware of my own & anyone elses responsibility in any given circumstances.I certainly wouldn't impart that information to my fellow users in a condescending & patronising manner.
