Sub-cat listings not showing on main cat page

SUB-CATEGORY LISTINGS ARE NOT SHOWING ON MAIN CATEGORY PAGE

after clicking one of the 32 main categories (Antiques-Wholesale) there ALWAYS seem to be missing listing titles/totals from sub-categories..

eg. see: Antiques> Ancient World .. There are no (light grey) titles/totals listed under Ancient World, even though there are live listings!
(every one of the main sub categories has same fault)

It of course looks like there are NO LISTINGS under that subcategory...perhaps potential buyers will go elsewhere..

OK, the problem is the categories that have no further sub-categories...still looks like they are empty categories!
