I reckon ebid is going to be a great contender for 2010, hopefully more people will jump over to this side.

How is this place fairing these days? Looks more popular than 2 years ago.
    Much More Popular!

We are selling MORE on Ebid these days than Feebay.

You can list on EBID without expecting a major pain-in-the-butt policy change/fee hike every few months! (Just don't duplicate your listings...a no-no on ebid).

Sellers are leaving feebay and moving to other sited such as EBid etc
Buyers are leaving feebay 'cos they can't find what they want anymore.

gotta go now....got to add some more listings....:-)

So I have decided to try a different auction site - namely this one. And I was hoping to get some feedback on how good the site is, how many buyer are really out there and also how easy it is to use.
I usually sell records / cd's and some kids toys etc - nothing specialist.
I hope you can give me a bit of advice on this site.
    Thanks Rich
Welcome to the real world. E-bid as grown from E-Bayer sellers who are fed up with the dictorial approach from E-bay and the ever increasing costs. They will to continue to grow as long as e_bay follows the results of there feedback system from buyers most of which is false.

As said, your listings are limitless. But it would be a bargain to get Seller+ and get the 5 free photos, 5 free stores and you can pay quickly on Paypal and get selling fast. If you list with gallery photo (recommended) you pay only 2% when it sells. No list/relisting fees ever!

Glad you are reading all the forums, check out the hints and use all of them to get your sales going fast. ebid sellers get sales from four sources: google, ebid members, your old feebay customers, and your own marketing efforts (flyers, etc). Google is largest, pay attention to all, but get google attention with buy it now, ten automatic relists and lots of items. Just a dozen won't get you noticed, hundreds of listings will get you daily sales. That is the key to selling here.

You might also want to start fresh by throwing away all your feebay templates, rules, etc, too. Buyers here tend not to like sellers having more rules than description in the listings and will avoid them. They are sick of the games too. Fill out about me page and let buyers know you are a professional.

Welcome to ebid. Someone is always here to help if you have a problem.

    Welcome from another newbie ish!
There is a lot of help around on other postings especially look up the ebid knowledge site-excellant- and other sellers are really helpful. Sales do seem slower at the moment, maybe it's being newish.
I have got my shops set up now, real easy and quick to list, easier than feebay I would say! And no listing fees--brilliant

    Good luck
    Cheers,Alan

I agree with Abyorkie. And am just finishing up some EvilBay auctions and am putting in slips directing people to my new stores on here, as I have had quite a few repeat buyers on Evilbay, so hoping some of them follow me over...

    Hi all,

I joined sometime ago but have not listed until today.
I am going to be listing lots of stuff over this week and have already contacted ALL my old customers from fee-bay.

I am hoping that sales will increase on here as more & more move away from the bay as it is now becoming a business platform more than just a standard selling auction site.

I hope I am making the right move as all this listing is going to take me a fair bit of time.

I am not going to upgrade as yet until I see some kind of return but if I get that return then the upgrade will be done for sure.

All I want is to find a platform to sell from on a daily basis so I may just as well give this a go.

I do have my own shop that I have built away from auction sites that also needs to be fully loaded with items so will be working on both of theses. My final items finish their auction state over at the bay in 2 hours time so I can then remove my account.

I mainly sell vinyl records / cds / and a few other things thrown in. I know my sales at the bay where very good but with one new rules after another it has become a joke and has given the green light to business sellers and a big fat red light to private sellers.

i hope it works out here.

I think it would be nice if most of these post were on the KITCHEN TABLE , leaving this for the purpose it is intended...Postage and Delivery , but this is only a suggestion..........and I know some will not be happy with this thought...papa.

Welcome to ebid! Actually, ever since the upgrade we have experienced lots of sales. My weekly sales are within about 20 items of my weekly sales on feebay, so I think as I add more items and really push, I will be at the same level as I was over there! ebid sales were up 95% in UK and 198% in US in March.

Important to follow all the forum tips for selling here. They may not always make sense but they certainly work. i.e. the more items you add the more you sell. Use BIN & ten auto relists to get on google, etc.

So new people, do not be satisfied to sit and wait for sales. Be proactive, use all the tips, really push in the four areas we get our buyers (google link, ebid members, old customers and own marketing). Within a few weeks your sales will start to come.

If you have problems, just come back and ask for help, someone is always here 24/7.
