    Default Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you hard working moms out there. Of course, that includes all you mums too. No reason you shouldn't be honored more than once a year.

Loving daughter has invited wife out to high end restaurant. I get to go along.

    Peace!

Is it just the UK that is out of line with "the rest of the world" or are there other countries where Mother's Day is not the 2nd Sunday in May?

Don't forget that in the UK, it's "Mothering Sunday" - NOT Mother's Day, which is a US invention.

Mothering Sunday is not a fixed day because it is always the middle Sunday in Lent (which lasts from Ash Wednesday to the day before Easter Sunday).

Mothering Sunday has been celebrated in the UK on the fourth Sunday in Lent since at least the 16th century.
