The bad luck in selling
Yesterday i went out to post a few items and came back to find i sold an item on ebay and on ebid but they were the same item. we sell a few of the same items on both sites but of all the items for them to buy just my luck lol.
i sold it to the ebid buyer. there was only 15mins between them and the one on ebay had been on 13 days.
Has anyone who sells on both had this happen?

that's what happens when you list the same item on two site... lets hope the bay buyer does not neg you for it.... maybe you will learn something from this situation
lol no hes fine with it and i got my money back on the fee's,i do think it could of ended badly. but you cant cross promote. not all my listings are the same on both sites.
you were lucky this time.... buyer can be "funny" on the bay these days... but that's the risk you take listing the same item on two sites.... there again what are the chances of it happening again before you can end one of the listings
I had an item on the bay some years ago and went to a market and sold it came back and the damn thing was sold on the bay same day. Luckily I make my outfits so was able to make another in time but it was a close call.
Thats what I love about this site, I can put my stores into "holiday" mode while I do my Craft Fairs then strip sold items from the shelves before I open up again. It is a wonderful extra that really woks for me.

Yeah i hope it wont happen again but if it does then i think i would have to think over my plan to list the same items on both sites.
