    Default Remoska

    Hi all,

Does anyone own a Remoska? I've dithered over buying one for ages and would really appreciate some feedback from anyone who has experience of cooking with one.

    Hi Shezz,
There are Halogen cookers which look similar - like the JML - but I don't think they cook by the same principle.
My reason for getting one is that they are only around 400w so, if you only want to cook a chicken or something, it saves putting on a big oven.
Well, that is a bit of a porky............
It is easier to clean than a big oven

Whatever pan they used over in Aus, I know they cooked chicken and rostie's in, and they were really scrumptious, then all we had to do was was the pot out that they cooked them in, said straight way I wanted one

But you know what it's like, had good intentions to buy one, but never the money to lol

We use a jml halogen oven, very happy.
Dont know much about a Remoska, might be one of those items people buy or given as a presant and only use once, like a ice cream maker, yoghurt maker, bread maker and electric steam cooker.

I use a halogen (bought for the same purpose as the op - saves putting the main oven on).

    Wouldnt change it for anything.

Whether it is casseroles, curry, steaks, burgers, bacon etc etc - does the lot perfectly.
(or maybe it is just my cooking that is perfect)

Hi, Thank you for your replies.
The Remoska isn't a halogen oven but I have also been looking at those.
I have been put off by the fact that we don't have a lot of surface to spare in the kitchen and, apparently it is a bit cumbersome when taking the lid off the appliance and putting it down in the kitchen. ALSO - and this seems to be a similar problem with the Remoska - the reviews on Google seem to indicate that there is a problem with fuses blowing.
Have you found this? Do you have a stand for yours?
