I don't recognise the term Pulp - It's not in use in UK. Could you explain what it means, please?

Lotzabitz -anything that doesn't belong in one of the other shops.
I tried ages ago to get pulp books a category. I posted up the reasons, and explained that pulps cover various categories - such as sci fi / crime / Juvenile Delinquency / etc. etc.
There is a very specific collectors market for them, which is why they don't fit in with regular categories. - You don't want to trawl trough 12,000 crime books priced at 25p - 50p to find maybe 5 or six actual pulp ones.
I gave links to sites that specialise in Pulp books, and showed examples.
Pulp as a category would have less books in, but would be of much higher monetary value.
the problem is, it would appear that people who don't know about pulp collecting won't recognise it's existance. I'm afraid the request will once again most likely fallupon deaf ears.
For those who aren't fussy about filtering what I sell - Take a look at ALL my stuff above. - But for more specific listings, take a peek in the stores below.

The previous chat about this is here: http://www.ebid.net/forums/showthrea...highlight=pulp. Reading through it again, I don't feel the case is either made or dismissed conclusively. I can see why Gazza might have decided just to let that one go until somebody comes up with a more convincing argument, or there's a weight of opinion behind it. Now that there are two people saying they want it, maybe he'll look at it again - though I think more explanation of why it's the right thing to do (beyond "I like pulp" :-D) might help.
I thought I had explained my reasons before, and that it wasn't just a case of "I like pulp books", but if that's how it came across, that's fine.
I'm not going to go round and round on it again, I'm not really fussed what they do. if the category was there I'd use it, but if it's not - No big deal.

It might only be me that feels it leans that way, but I can only comment on how *I* see it. And as I said before, it's not up to me. I'm just one of the few people taking an interest. :-)
Again, that's not the impression I got before, which is why I took the trouble to find the thread and encourage the discussion. It certainly doesn't matter at all to me personally, I was just trying to be helpful. Fairy nuff, I'll drop it.I'm not going to go round and round on it again, I'm not really fussed what they do. if the category was there I'd use it, but if it's not - No big deal.
Sorry Kim, I didn't mean it to come across like it did., and thanks for keeping the subject in view. Thanks also for taking the time to look out the original thread, it is appreciated, and if it is of some use to other pulp book sellers, then I'm happy for that.
Just feeling a little down on it all at the moment - hence not being round much. Previously it was quite important to me, but at the moment I don't have many pulps to sell, and I can't afford to buy either, so really it's of no consequence to me. I'm not buying or selling anything here at the moment, but have had some reasonable sales on car boots.

At a slight tangent. I used to use Flickr to promote ebid. If I remember right, there are plenty of groups over there dedicated to Pulp Fiction Artwork. If any of you guys get involved don't forget to give ebid a subtle plug.
